Rev Paul Rogers is our Minister. Paul spent four years working in the housing department of Cambridge City Council before pursuing a call into pastoral ministry. He graduated with a Masters in Theology from Spurgeon's College, London in 2004, having been ordained in 2003 as an accredited Baptist Minister with the Baptist Union of Great Britain. He was appointed as our Minister in September 2009 after a 6 year ministry in Croydon. His wife, Cherie, and his two boys, Jon and Matt, bring an added dimension of life, love and laughter to his ministry with us. Rev Paul serves primarily as a pastor and a preacher. He encourages people to live as Christian believers, and to experience church as a family of believers where they can be accepted and belong. He chairs meetings of the church and its leadership team of Deacons as he seeks to build up the church as we follow Jesus in mission and ministry to the world. Rev Paul encourages us to be a welcoming, attractive church but also to be outgoing and involved in the world around us - our motto is "Faith to care and share". He meets privately with all sorts of people who have all sorts of reasons to need a listening ear, support and counsel, and he is much involved with the wider community, not least in schools and as a Street Pastor in Greenwich.
